Defender further grows its e-Commerce Department

WATERFORD, Conn. – For the second time this year, marine outfitter and supplier Defender Industries is expanding its e-commerce department in response to growth within its Internet business.

The retailer is hiring Tina DuBosque as e-commerce manager and Jeff Healey as web content assistant, the company reported in a recent statement.

DuBosque earned her Master’s Degree in Internet Strategy Management from the Graduate Center at Marlboro College in Vermont, and Healey holds a Communications & Marketing degree from the University of Rhode Island. Both bring lifelong boating experience as well as retail and Internet experience to Defender.

“e-Commerce is Defender’s fastest growing sales channel,” said Executive Director Al Knupp. “These additions will help us continue our focus on improving and expanding our internet offerings and creating the best website possible.”
