Century Boat Co. expands its footprint

PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Century Boat Company, Inc. has added dealers to its network for the first time in two years, it reported in a statement today. This is one of several changes the company has undergone since it sold its Cobia line in an effort to place more emphasis on the Century brand.

The seven new marine dealerships in its network increase the company’s presence within its home state of Florida, as well as building its Northeastern market.

“This is unprecedented growth for the Century brand, as we have not had the opportunity to add new dealerships for the past two years,” said Dean Burnett, vice president and general manager of Century Boat Company, Inc.

The seven new dealers include Boat Tree of Port Orange, Fla.; FantaSEA Marine
of Lakeland, Fla.; G&R Marine of South Windsor, Conn.; Mike’s Marine Supply of
Panacca, Fla.; Pier 47 Marine of Wildwood, N.J.; Shelter Bay of Marathon, Fla., and The Boat Connection of Lantana, Fla.

The Century network now stands at 42 dealerships, with 17 new dealerships in 2005.

In addition to strengthening and building its dealer network, the company has launched an aggressive production schedule of four new models for 2006 that includes the 1850 Dual Console ³Mustang,² 2001 Center Console, 2400 Walk Around, and the 2301 Center Console.

Additionally, the company has upgraded many of its existing models to include Yamaha’s Command Link marine information technology, a “Century Blue” hull color, contour seating, and a redesigned, optional leaning post/tackle center, standard rear seating, as well as many new luxury features.
