Eleven dealers earn Sea Ray Ambassador status

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Eleven Sea Ray dealerships have been named as Sea Ray Ambassador Dealers for model year 2006 by the company, based on their outstanding performance as measured in model year 2005, Sea Ray said in a release yesterday.

They are:

  • Hall Marine Group
  • M & P Mercury Sales LTD
  • Marina Fortin
  • MarineMax of Arizona
  • Parker Boats
  • Prince William Marine
  • Sail & Ski Center
  • Sea Ray of Knoxville
  • Surfside 3 Marina
  • “Ambassador Dealers are simply the best of the best,” said Cynthia Trudell, Sea Ray Boat president. “Each of these dealers have attained the highest level of our Master Dealer Program by demonstrating an exceptional commitment to extraordinary customer service.”

    Sea Ray said its Master Dealer Program, now in its ninth year, is recognized as the first standards-based program in the industry. Designed to recognize Sea Ray dealers who operate world-class retail and service facilities, the Master Dealer Program provides an objective third-party review of participating dealerships against 200 specific operational criteria identified through research into the best practices of Sea Ray dealerships and other retail and service operations.

    Ambassador Dealers, who comprise the top 1 percent of Master Dealers, must achieve at least 95 percent of the stringent Master Dealer standards in the areas of customer satisfaction, dealership operations, sales, parts, and service. In addition to exceeding the Sea Ray national average market share, Ambassador Dealers are required to achieve consistently high scores on the customer satisfaction index. Further, they must fulfill special Ambassador requirements that demonstrate their commitment to delivering a superior customer experience from first contact through every step of the relationship.

    Despite – or perhaps because of – the high threshold to become an Ambassador Dealer, the program has proven extremely motivating. In both its first and second years, only two dealerships achieved Ambassador status.

    “Now, in the third year of the program, we have 11 Ambassador Dealers. That’s a fivefold increase,” explained Trudell. “These dealers are truly ambassadors for the Sea Ray brand, representing our company’s dedication to providing exceptional customer service.”
