West Marine to open new electronics showroom

WATSONVILLE, Calif. – The grand opening of West Marine Maritime Electronics’ new electronics show room has been scheduled to take place on Saturday, Oct. 8 on the docks at the Keefe Kaplan Maritime boat yard (KKMI) in Point Richmond, Calif., West Marine reported in a statement yesterday.

The festivities will include prize drawings for electronics, yachts available for touring, seminars on radio and marine communications with Gordon West, free refreshments, games and more. Representatives from marine electronics manufacturers, including Raymarine, Garmin, Icom, Furuno, Simrad, B&G, Northstar, Globalstar and electronics experts from West Marine Maritime Electronics will be on hand. KKMI is located at 560 W. Cutting Blvd. in Point Richmond, Calif.

West Marine’s Maritime Electronics showroom has an electronics selection to accommodate the needs of a wide range of customers, including high end gear for larger yachts. West Marine has also hired Ron Romaine, who brings more than 25 years of sailing, electronic and electrical expertise.

West Marine Maritime Electronics is part of West Marine’s Boat Services, which provides professional electronics installations for the boaters in select locations in California and Florida. West Marine’s Boat Services goes through the installation procedure with the customer, provides an estimate, and upon authorization, professional installers perform the job, guaranteed for the life of the product.
