Sterndrive boat sales up, outboard boats down

MIAMI – While some boat types are doing better than others, Info-Link predicts that the 15-foot-plus powerboat segment will finish up the year a few percentage points above last year.

Jesse Wells, Info-Link’s director of sales & marketing, reported the release of the company’s August Bellwether Report in a recent statement.

“Looking at the moving averages, it is evident that the stern drive, PWC, and ski boat segments are all on the upswing while the outboard segment, especially for aluminum boats, is cycling down from last year’s peak,” he said.
