DealersCircle to debut new online registration program

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — DealersCircle, Inc., a provider of Web-based marine application programs that link the manufacturer, dealer and customer together, is introducing a new online boat registration program, the company reported earlier this week.

The new program, DC Register, will be unveiled Oct. 1, and DealersCircle said it will be the first online customer-driven registration module in the marine industry.

DC Register will be made available to any marine manufacturer and their dealer network, even if the manufacturer is not a current partner with DealersCircle’s Management Program, the company said.

Currently, the responsibility of registering new boats falls to the dealers, but with DC Register, the customer will be prompted to register his or her own model as a failsafe. The customer will be able to enter their hull ID number and information into a database that can then be shared between the dealers and manufacturers, all the while being managed by DealersCircle.

“The marine industry has always had a problem with tabulating accurate and timely boat registrations,” said Jamie Gaskins, DealersCircle president. “Hopefully, our new program will help to eliminate these problems by going directly to the customer and prompting them for the information.
