Alaskan harbormaster achieves marina industry certification
WASHINGTON – Alan Sorum, harbormaster of Valdez Small Boat Harbor in Valdez, Alaska, attained certified marina manager status, said James L. Frye, Association of Marina Industries president, in a statement yesterday.
The association’s certified marina manager review committee unanimously approved Sorum’s designation. He is the 173rd marina operator to achieve this status.
“AMI would like to congratulate Alan on his acceptance as our newest Certified Marina Manager,” Frye said. “He joins a long list of distinguished marina industry individuals who have achieved this status. We look forward to seeing Alan’s continued success in his marina career.”
