IBEX 2005 exhibition space sold out

BROOKLIN, Maine — Exhibition space at the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference, October 19-21, 2005 with pre-conference October 18, is sold out to OEMs and suppliers of boatbuilding products, materials and services, according to a statement from IBEX organizers last week.

Specific information about the exhibiting companies, including booth locations and company descriptions, is available online at www.ibexshow.com, where trade professionals may review show details and register to attend.

All three of the exhibit halls at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Florida are filled, and a waiting list has been established for companies interested in purchasing exhibit space, should any current exhibitors be unable to participate.

The IBEX 2005 exhibition will host more manufacturers and suppliers than it has in the show’s 15-year history.

“This year’s IBEX is shaping up to be the most beneficial boatbuilding event ever for the trade,” said Carl Cramer, IBEX co-director. “The product-sourcing opportunities are diverse and expansive, and the exhibition is complemented by an exceptional educational program.”

This is IBEX’s third year at the Miami Beach Convention Center after relocating from Ft. Lauderdale in fall 2003 to increase in size.

“The continuous growth of IBEX is indicative of the show’s significant influence on the business of boatbuilding,” said Kathleen Clickett, IBEX co-director.

Via the IBEX Web site, visitors can access IBEX’s virtual trade show where they can read about exhibitors and create custom itineraries by mapping out areas of the show to visit during each day of the event. Visitors can also search for exhibitors by company name or by products and services, and then view where on the exhibition floor the companies are located. Attendees may modify their itineraries until they are ready to leave for IBEX, at which time they can download personalized, color-coded floor plans to their printers and bring the final itineraries and maps to the convention center.

Also online are complete descriptions of seminars, pre-conference workshops, exhibitors’ workshops, outdoor demonstrations and general information. Boatbuilding professionals may register online, or they may download a faxable registration form from the site. Hotel and travel information and discounts are also available.
