Achilles achieves NMMA Certification

EVERETT, Wash. – The National Marine Manufacturers Association has certified Achilles Inflatable Craft as meeting manufacturing standards and safety regulations, according to a statement from Achilles today.

NMMA certification assures consumers that Achilles produced boats include design and safety features that meet or exceed minimum manufacturing regulations established by the U.S. Coast Guard.

“We are proud to have successfully completed the NMMA certification process,” said Jeff Frank, marine division manager for Achilles. “Achilles has always placed a premium on safety with our own rigorous internal manufacturing standards. This certification confirms to the boating public that our inflatable boats meet the high standards established by the American Boat and Yacht Council.”

NMMA certification requirements are based on ABYC’s “Standards and Recommended Practices for Small Craft.” To be certified, a manufacturer must pass inspections that encompass a range of manufacturing and safety standards.
