Poly-Planar relocates operations

GLEN BURNIE, Md. – Marine speaker and audio system supplier Poly-Planar Group LLC has relocated its manufacturing operation from Warminster, Penn., to a new and larger facility in Glen Burnie, Md., near Baltimore, the company said in a recent release.

Poly-Planar said the move is part of a company-wide focus on maximizing its customer service.

“Our basic business systems have been revamped across the board as a result of the relocation,” said Bill Pieklik, who is leading the effort as Poly-Planar’s director of sales and operations. “We are now much closer to BWI airport, Baltimore Harbor and the I-95 corridor. The move also puts us near Annapolis, Maryland, a major pleasure boating center. Our response to customers has been enhanced dramatically as a result of the relocation and personnel changes.”

Poly-Planar said it had also recapitalized to serve its customers. Tim Conroy, who has represented Poly-Planar products for over 20 years, and Alexander Page & Co., a New York private investment firm, have now partnered with Poly-Planar. The company said expects to announce a number of new marine products this summer.
