Uptick in new boat registrations
MIAMI – Info-Link has released its March Bellwether Report – an examination of retail registration data in select major-boating states – and the figures show continued growth in several boating segments, the company reported recently.
“New boat registrations in March show an uptick in stern drive boats, PWC and ski boats,” Jesse Wells, director of sales & marketing at Info-Link said in the company’s press release. “However, there looks to be a normal correction to the dramatic growth trend for the outboard fiberglass segment.”
Wells said that within the fiberglass outboard market, the higher-end brands are continuing to grow, while the entry-level brands “appear to be taking a breather.”
