2006 IMBC to be held in Florida

WASHINGTON – Representatives from the Association of Marina Industries and the American Boat Builders & Repairers Association have released the location and dates for the 2006 International Marina & Boatyard Conference.

IMBC – formerly the National Marina & Boatyard Conference – will return to Florida in 2006, taking place from Jan. 29 – Feb. 1 in Orlando.

A welcome reception on the evening of Jan. 29 will begin the event. Two days of professional development seminars will be hosted adjacent to the show floor, allowing participants to return to the exhibit area during breaks. Luncheons will also be held in the exhibit area each day as well. The program wraps on Feb. 1 with an all-marina industry breakfast followed by an optional field trip.

“We are excited about the opportunity to return back to Florida in 2006 to continue on the success of previous Marina and Boatyard conferences,” said AMI President Jim Frye, CMM. “We have surveyed participants and exhibitors from conferences past to find out what they are most interested in learning about and look to have a very impressive and relevant program to offer those in the marina industry in 2006.”

IMBC sessions will feature interactive presentations and panels, including case studies and other informative papers from all over the industry highlighting marinas and boatyards.
