MTA/NJ conference to begin this weekend
BRICK, N.J. – Jack Lettiere, commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Transportation, will reveal the selectees for the I BOAT NJ program at the Marine Trades Association of New Jersey annual conference April 1 at the Clarion Hotel and Convention Center in Atlantic City West, N.J., MTA/NJ said in a release today.
Lettiere will make the official announcement for the I BOAT NJ program’s inaugural grant cycle. The I BOAT NJ program provides grant funds to selected eligible applicants to promote, improve, and enhance the marine industry in New Jersey for the benefit of the general boating public.
The two-day conference, which begins this Thursday, will cover a broad range of subjects with presentations and interactive sessions designed to help attendees manage their businesses more effectively and overcome the challenges facing the marine industry.
Some of the conference topics include: A presentation on the Grow Boating campaign; the expanded New Jersey “Bring a Buddy Boating” campaign; An overview on the new Association of Marina Industries; and an interactive “Best Profits Ideas” discussion being moderated by Jim Frye, president of the Association of Marina Industries and Glenn Mazzella, president of the Marine Retailers Association of America.
“This year’s agenda is packed with informative presentations and includes a wealth of information designed to provide our members with the tools and resources they need to succeed in their businesses,” said Melissa Danko, MTA/NJ executive director. “We are looking forward to a great event.”
