CLEARWATER, Fla. - The National Marine Manufacturers Association and Boats.com have awarded MarineMax the North American Marine Industry Web Award for best broker/dealer Web site in the marine industry, MarineMax reported in a release yesterday.
MarineMax won for its exceptional use of photography, ease of navigation and crisp, clean design of secondary pages. Judges were also impressed by the amount of content the site contains, while still being very easy to navigate.
“We have spent the past five years working to revamp and upgrade MarineMax.com,” says Jeff Scherer, eBusiness manager at MarineMax. “Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for customers to learn about our products and services and to get in touch with our MarineMax team. Visitors to the site can do everything from shop for boats, to schedule service appointments and listen to Marine Max's online radio show. MarineMax.com gets visitor traffic numbers that rival some of the most popular marine portals on the Web.”
The first annual Web awards were launched to recognize the industry's highest standards of excellence in Web design and content.
Sites were reviewed and ranked by a panel of judges with expertise in Web creation and design. They were judged on the quality and quantity of content, overall look and design, navigation, ease of use and speed of use.
