Massey continues to expand
SOUTH TAMPA BAY, PALMETTO, Fla. – Massey Enterprises, Inc., dba Massey Yacht Sales & Service has now completed its dealership expansion plans with three full-service Florida West Coast Marina-based yacht dealerships, marketing new and pre-owned sail and power yachts, the company said in a release today.
The newest Massey dealership, located in downtown Ft. Myers at Centennial Harbour Marina, opened its doors in July with a small two person yacht sales office selling new Albin power yachts and Catalina, Hunter and Caliber sailing yachts.
“With the addition of the Shannon yacht line last year, the Ft. Myers dealership business grew so quickly that we are expanding to a four-person dealership,” said Ed Massey, president and CEO of Massey Enterprises. Massey has secured additional slips to accommodate new and pre-owned inventory.
The other two established Massey dealerships are located at Regatta Pointe Marina in Palmetto and the Harborage Marina at Bayboro in downtown St. Petersburg.
Pre-owned yachts of all brands are sold at all three dealerships. Palmetto sales manager Frank Hamilton has been promoted to general sales manager for all locations. There are now two sales teams working independently at each Massey location, one to grow the expansion of new and pre-owned power sales, and their other long standing award-winning sailing yacht sales team.
An in-house computer systems administrator has also been added, and an expanded budget has been developed to set more aggressive goals for the power yacht market.
Massey has also recently opened its own in-house yacht-financing department and has grown its service department to six full-time employees, including a dedicated customer satisfaction coordinator.
