Donzi reports banner Miami show

SARASOTA, Fla. – American Marine Holdings Inc.’s Donzi Marine division substantially increased its sales at the 2005 Miami International Boat Show, with retail orders exceeding 40 boats for a total of $7.5 million during the course of the five-day event, the company reported in a recent release.

The company said demand was spread throughout its product line with particularly swift sales of its new 35 and 38 ZR high performance models and popular ZF center consoles.

While the market in general shows signs of rebounding, Donzi credits its momentum to a significant investment in new product.

Last fall, CEO Lee Kimmell initiated sweeping enhancements which began with new appointments to its senior management staff, a 70,000 square foot expansion to its manufacturing space, widespread upgrades to its existing product line and now, a flood of new models.

“People are talking, four brand-new Donzi models so far in 2005, with more on the way,” said Tom Kosto, Donzi’s VP of Sales. “We are the first major manufacturer to introduce a brand-new line of high performance boats in a long, long time. Customers go from booth to booth at boat shows and see the same performance boats they’ve seen for years. Then they come to Donzi and see a line of boats like nothing else out there. We came to Miami to make a statement, and the results speak for themselves.”

Donzi will soon add a 43′ model to its new ZR line, which it hails as the most advanced in the industry.
