Boating Industry Intelligence You Can Profit From
CLEARWATER, Fla. – Recreational boat retailer MarineMax, Inc. is opening its 68th U.S. location, an on-the-water retail site in Newport Beach, Calif., the company reported in a release yesterday.
The store is MarineMax’s initial location in the Los Angeles area boating market, and will focus on selling brands such as Ferretti, Pershing, Apreamare, Riva, Mochi Craft, and Bertram, and will offer yacht brokerage services, the company said.
The Newport Beach area is one of the more active marine retailing markets on the West Coast.
“We are very pleased to be able to expand our operations into the lucrative Los Angeles area boating market,” William H. McGill, Jr., chairman, CEO, and president of MarineMax, said. “Our Newport Beach operation will complement our already strong presence in San Diego, Northern California, Las Vegas, and Phoenix, and will enhance the overall boating experience for customers throughout our western region. With the store opening, we have also added formidable strength by the addition of an accomplished yacht brokerage team.”
