Greyhawk purchases Summerfield Boatworks

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Greyhawk Marine Group has purchased Summerfield Boatworks in and plans to create a mega yacht facility in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., with covered slips accommodating yachts up to 130 feet in length, Greyhawk said in a release yesterday.

Renamed Pier 17, the marina and boatyard will be managed by Brad Tate, regional director of Flagship Marinas, will remain open for business. Renovation plans will be finalized with slips for sale offered exclusively by O’Flannery International, Inc. and realtor, Ginger Hornaday PA.

“The Mega Yacht community is yearning for more yacht slips and Pier 17 Marina & Yacht Club will address their needs with a dockominium product,” said Harry C. “Skeet” Sherman, III, founding partner of Greyhawk.

Co-founded with Michelle Corson, Greyhawk Marine Group was formed to acquire marina facilities internationally and redevelop them to keep the initial integrity and use.
