GREENVILLE, N.C. – Grady-White Boats held its 17th Annual Sales Training Seminar, Dec. 7-9, in Greenville and New Bern, N.C., and nearly 100 Grady-White dealership associates attended, the company said in a recent release.

The meeting opened with in-water boat demonstrations and boat operations training. Instruction included a review of Grady-White’s line of 21 fiberglass sportfishing and family fun boats.

Following an overview of the company’s challenges by Doug Gomes, Grady-White’s vice president of sales and marketing, a new product and planning update was presented by David Neese, engineering vice president, to inform the dealer network about 2005 model year features and future developments.

Shelley Tubaugh, Grady-White’s customer and dealer relations manager, discussed the company’s approach to sales excellence and customer satisfaction that combines superior execution, focus on details and a passion for service, according to the company.

Tours of the Greenville manufacturing plant included Grady-White’s new $6-million lamination facility. Dealer associates attended break out sessions that focused on all aspects of the building and assembly process, followed by product knowledge tests. Brainstorming sessions provided an opportunity to share thoughts on future products and product upgrades.

The final day of the seminar included a section on how to sell the total Grady-White experience, presented by Joey Weller, marketing manager.
