MATES aims to standardize communications
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Channel Blade Technologies and DockMaster Software are working together to bring about an industry-wide effort to standardize electronic communications, Channel Blade reported in a release today.
The two companies are sponsoring a new group called MATES – the Marine Association for Technology Exchange Standards. The group will be a consortium of IT professionals dedicated to successfully developing, implementing and supporting a common set of data exchange standards.
To help make this vision a reality, MATES is holding its first meeting at the Miami International Boat Show on Feb. 17. OEMs, dealers, Internet brokers, DMS providers, parts suppliers, CRM solutions, financial institutions and anyone interested in reducing the complexity of their IT environment and realizing more value from their database management investments is invited to attend.
