Signature Yachts joins Mainship dealer network

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Signature Yachts, the largest sailboat dealer in the Pacific Northwest, has expanded its product representation with the addition of the Mainship Pilot and Trawler line, Signature said in a release yesterday

Signature’s sales and service centers have sold primarily sailboats, but have added the Mainship line “because many sailors are getting into the trawler market,” according to Robbie Robinson, the founder and owner of Signature Yachts.

“We are following our demographic as the baby boomers move into powerboats,” Robinson said. “Mainship is the market leader, and we are excited to represent this quality boat line.”

As a new Mainship dealer, Robinson said he is hoping to emulate the success he has enjoyed as a retailer of Hunter sailboats, one of Mainship’s sister companies and part of the Luhrs Marine Group. Robinson said Signature Yachts has just completed its best retail year ever in 2004.

“I’ve known Robbie for over 20 years,” said Charlie Sprague, regional manager for Mainship Corp. ”He runs an excellent operation that is highly professional, well organized and has great customer service and follow-up. We’re proud to be associated with a dealership of this caliber.”
