Fountain reports record dealer meeting turnout

WASHINGTON, N.C. – More than 30 dealers and agents representing North America, Europe and the Middle East attended Fountain Powerboat Industries, Inc.’s, annual dealer meeting, hosted by company founder Reggie Fountain, the company reported in a release yesterday.

Dealers were taken to the company’s 66-acre facility along the Pamlico River for demonstration rides.

“We believe that innovation in our boat design, as well as continually evolving and improving our dealer program, are two important components of our continued success,” said Fountain Powerboats CEO Reginald M. Fountain, Jr. “The newest addition to our dealer program was unveiled during our annual two-day dealer meeting. Working closely with E-Trade and Bank of America, we will now offer our dealers a retail financing purchase program that provides zero percent financing for the first 12 months. We believe this innovative approach to financing will assist our dealers in expanding their businesses through increased sales of Fountain Powerboats.”

During an award ceremony at the Greenville Convention Center, Counce, Tenn.-based Pier 57 was named as Fountain’s “Top Gun” dealer, and David Woods, principal for Pier 57, was presented with a Rolex watch for 2004 sales of approximately $6.8 million.

The “Rookie of the Year,” with sales of approximately $3.5 million, was Shogren Performance Marine.

“We are proud to be named ‘Rookie of the Year,’ and privileged to join the ranks of Fountain Powerboats dealers,” said Shogren Performance Marine owner Scott Shogren. “Our success this year is based on Fountain’s reputation in the industry, its 25-year history in the business, loyal customer base, outstanding customer service, and excellent product resale value.”
