Salt Water Sportsman to sponsor seminar series for 18th year

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Salt Water Sportsman, a magazine title for sportfishermen, will kick off its 18th year as the title sponsor of the Salt Water Sportsman National Seminar Series, the magazine reported in a recent statement.

Hosted by George Poveromo, senior editor and host of George Poveromo’s World of Saltwater Fishing on ESPN2, the National Seminar Series begins its 18th annual tour on January 8 in Atlantic City, N.J.

“Every year, the National Seminar Series brings Salt Water Sportsman magazine to life in a way that’s invaluable to our readers and to sportfishermen across the country,” said David DiBenedetto, the title’s editor.

The Salt Water Sportsman National Seminar Series is an eight-stop national tour conducted by Salt Water Sportsman editors and a panel of regional angling experts.

Salt Water Sportsman’s formula of combining hard-core, how-to fishing oriented features and columns has made it the nation’s premier magazine on the subject,” said Poveromo. “I’m thrilled to continue our partnership, and to have the support of Salt Water Sportsman both for the seminar series as well as my television show.”

Sponsors of the Salt Water Sportsman National Seminar Series receive multi-platform exposure at each of eight national tour stops as well as in the pages of Yachting, MotorBoating and Salt Water Sportsman magazines. Joining West Marine, the series’ presenting sponsor, are Lowrance, Honda Marine, Capt. Harry’s Fishing Supply, Boone, Mako Marine, Canon, Costa del Mar, Penn Reels, The International Game Fish Association and Berkley.
