Yacht & Brokerage Show adds floating pavilion

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – February’s Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami Beach has added a 30,000-square-foot floating pavilion featuring an array of yachting accessories and services, show organizers said in a release today.

The decision to create the new space for the 17th annual show, to be held Feb. 17-21, was based on a number of factors, according to Andrew Doole, vice president of Yachting Promotions, Inc., producers of the show.

“This specially designed area allows more new, high-profile exhibitors to take part in the show, such as electronic manufacturers, yacht builders, designers, shipyards, tower makers, financial institutions and a host of other products and services from companies from around the world,” said Doole. “Importantly, all accessories and services will be located in one ‘weather- proof’ area which will make it extremely easy for visitors navigating the show.”

The 2005 exhibition will include more than 550 new and pre-owned vessels in water, ranging in size from 30 feet to over 160 feet. Superyachts, express cruisers, sportfishing boats, family cruisers and ocean-going trawlers from $100,000 to over $25 million will fill the show site, organizers said.
