RSM and CCP to increase prices

KANSAS CITY & HOUSTON, Texas – Resolution Specialty Materials and Cook Composites and Polymers will each raise its prices with the New Year, the companies reported in separate press releases today.

RSM will increase its prices $.05 per pound for all unsaturated polyester and $.10 per pound for all vinyl ester resins. The increases apply to all products shipped on or after Jan. 3.

CCP will increase pricing in three composites product areas, with unsaturated polyester resin and gel coat products increasing $0.06 per pound and vinyl ester resins increasing $0.10 per pound. Those increases will also take effect Jan. 3.

RSM cited crude oil price increases fueling the increase in raw material prices used in composite resins manufacturing as well as increased demand as the reasons behind its increases.

CCP also said continuing increases in the cost of raw materials, particularly several key feedstocks, were to blame for the increases.
