British sail maker appoints American service agent
DEVON, UK – Westaway Sails has appointed Ray Laguna Yachting, an American service agent, to provide on-hand technical assistance and support to its increasing American customer base, the company said in a press release today.
Westaway Sails has completed its American season, becoming the No. 1 American Melges 24 sail manufacturers, the company said.
“Enquiries from America are so strong now we felt the need to appoint an agent. Ray Laguna Yachting is based in Florida where a lot of yacht racing takes place and is doing an excellent job for us,” said Westaway’s John Pollard.
Westaway said all its sails will continue to be manufactured in its Devon-based sail loft.
