BURNABY, British Columbia – Teleflex Marine, a business unit of Teleflex Inc., and Xantrex Technology Inc. have aligned to provide integrated power and data management and electronic control solutions to the marine market, Xantrex said in a recent release.
The companies will deliver marine electronics based on the NMEA 2000 standard that work together to communicate seamlessly.
Xantrex and Teleflex Marine have developed their first products as a joint solution based on widely adopted CANbus protocol. Both companies will continue to develop products and custom solutions for the marine industry.
“The relationship leverages the strengths of these two companies to deliver a winning solution for the marine industry,” said John Cinis, vice president of engine manufacturers, Teleflex Marine Division. “We have seen how Xantrex is using its proven power electronics expertise to help accelerate the adoption of networking in power management.”
The new Xantrex MS2000 Sine Wave Inverter/Charger and Teleflex i5600 display are the first products that the two companies will combine as a “plug and play” solution.
“As a leading global provider of data management and electronic control systems to the marine industry, Teleflex is the ideal first partner to demonstrate how we can jointly deliver tremendous benefits to our customers,” said Tim Attridge, Xantrex’s vice president of marketing. “This alliance shows how two market leaders can bring integrated electrical solutions to the boating community.”
