Cruisers Yachts continues on growth path

OCONTO, Wis. – Cruisers Yachts is nearing completion of an 11,880-square-foot storage warehouse at its Oconto, Wis. headquarters to accommodate growth the company is currently experiencing.

The warehouse will provide storage of fiberglass component parts, carpeting, raw materials and appliances that previously were kept in various remote warehouses as well in outdoor storage areas, Cruisers said in a press release yesterday.

“The presence of this new facility will greatly improve efficiency as a result of less transfer time for parts to reach the assembly line areas,” said Rick Jelinski, general manager of Cruisers Yachts. “And, by keeping such items away from the snow and ice that comes with the frigid weather of northern Wisconsin, we are able to speed up the time these parts can be used in the assembly process.”

The warehouse, built by Northern Pole Builders of Lena, Wis., is expected to be completed this month.

“This is yet another example of the aggressive growth Cruisers Yachts is experiencing and coincides with the introduction of three new models for 2005 and with our current campaign to increase our manufacturing staff by 10 percent in the next six months,” Jelinski said.
