By Owner Yachts inks deal with West Marine

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Boating retailer West Marine has signed an agreement to offer By Owner Yacht’s new boat sales kit in its retail stores, FSBO said in a press release yesterday.

The kits will be offered initially at West Marine stores in the Mid-Atlantic area with plans to expand across the country with demand, and will be sold in the book department of participating West Marine stores at a retail price of $79.

“This is a huge step for us,” said Jim Maier, president of By Owner Yachts. “We are able to instantly broaden our distribution by taking advantage of West Marine’s huge retail network.”

The FSBO kit is an all-inclusive product to assist boaters in selling a boat.
