Australians to scout IBEX for marketing opportunities
GOLD COAST CITY, Australia – A delegation representing 16 marine industry companies from Gold Coast City, Australia, will attend the International Boatbuilders Exhibition and Conference and the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show this month in an effort to showcase his city’s capabilities in marine related products and services, according to a press release today.
The mission is being led by Deputy Mayor of Gold Coast City David Power, who hopes to appeal to key decision makers from across the globe and assist with providing a suitable knowledge base for Gold Coast marine firms of the potential market in the United States for their products and services.
There are over 400 local businesses involved in the Gold Coast marine industry with an estimated employment of 3,500. About 70 of these businesses are engaged in boat building and repair/refit service.
