RingProp joins National Marine Propeller Association

GOSPORT, HAMPSHIRE, U.K. – British propeller manufacturer RingProp plc has joined the National Marine Propeller Association, the company said today in a statement.

The first models of the company’s ringed propeller for outboard motors will be available in the United States in November and will be introduced to NMPA members and visitors at the association’s annual convention Nov. 5-7 in Las Vegas.

RingProp said its patented design has been exhaustively tested on a variety of the most popular outboard motor models. The hydrodynamic design of the aluminum ring and blades provides increased thrust and reduces torque steer and ventilation, resulting in improved handling and maneuverability, while maintaining rapid acceleration and high top speeds, the company claimed.
