More than 26,000 attend Norwalk show

NORWALK, Conn. – The 29th Norwalk International In-Water Boat Show, held at East Norwalk’s Cove Marina from Sept. 23-26, welcomed 26,377 attendees and more than 455 exhibitors to its expanded in-water and land display space, according to a release Friday from the National Marine Manufacturers Association.

NMMA reported that 160 Northeastern dealers representing 103 boat brands from U.S and international manufacturers were on hand.

“The show was bigger and better than ever,” said show manager Michael Duffy. “Great weather, great food and great fun combined to make Norwalk a special not-to-be-missed event.”

Here’s what some of the exhibitors reported:

Geoffrey McCord, Beneteau USA
“This year’s Norwalk Show went very well for us. All of our dealers sold sailboats. We were also very pleased with the overall acceptance from the general public in regards to our new 1380 Motor Yacht. It was the debut of our new model at a powerboat show in North America.”

Chelso Arrigoni , Arrigoni Distributors (custom cabinetry, hi-lo tables, sport-fishing accessories & upholstery).
“We were up 25 percent from last year and still have many leads to follow-up with. We are in very good shape from this year’s show.”
