Discover Boating exhibit to be on display at IBEX

CHICAGO – International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference attendees will have an opportunity to tour the 53-foot interactive mobile marketing display used as the centerpiece for the seven-month Discover Boating and Fishing Tour, IBEX organizers said today.

The Discover Boating staff will be on hand at IBEX 2004 to take visitors through the interactive exhibit, review results from this year’s tour and help identify how companies can participate in next year’s mobile tour.

“The best way for industry stakeholders to understand the huge undertaking of the mobile marketing tour is by seeing the truck in person,” Discover Boating director Steve Tadd said. “IBEX attendees and their colleagues can view the complete exhibit, interact with the truck and share their ideas, so that we can determine how we can better serve their needs.”

Tadd said the new floor plan for next year’s 6,000-square-foot mobile marketing tour truck will be unveiled at IBEX, and that new details about next year’s tour will be revealed, including the addition of the Mini Boat Show.

“The commitment has been made to display more boats on next year’s tour through the addition of the Mini Boat Show because past tour stops have shown that consumers are more responsive when more boats are included in the exhibit,” Tadd said.

There is also an increased demand among manufacturers and local dealers to participate in the tour, and the National Marine Manufacturers Association, organizers of the mobile tour, want to accommodate as many companies as possible.

IBEX will be held Oct. 25-27 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
