MRAA assembles Industry Leaders Panel

OAK PARK, Ill. – Several major boat builders have answered the Marine Retailers Association of America’s invitation to appear on the Industry Leaders Panel at the upcoming 2004 MRAA convention, according to an MRAA release today.

MRAA said the panel will feature the following industry leaders:

  • Dusty McCoy, Brunswick Boat Group
  • Roger Cloutier, Genmar Industries
  • Jim Lane, Chaparral Boats
  • John Dorton, MasterCraft Boats
  • Bob Deputy, Godfrey Marine
  • Paxson St. Clair, Cobalt Boats
  • The panel will be held Nov. 10 at 3:30 pm and will be moderated by Larry Russo, MRAA past chairman, and Phil Keeter, MRAA president. The convention will be held Nov. 9-11 at the Stardust Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Panelists will be presented with questions on a random basis. All questions will deal with current and pertinent issues concerning recreational boating, especially in the area of dealer and manufacturer concerns, MRAA said.

“With the current initiatives surrounding the “Grow Boating” effort, state dealer legislation, model year change, and industry consolidation, I cannot believe every dealer wouldn’t want to hear what some of their partners have to say,” said John Sima, MRAA chairman. “I encourage those who haven’t already registered to get busy and do so immediately. Their input and reactions to the responses from these industry leaders is needed.”
