FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The more than three million square feet of exhibit space – on land and in water – available for the 2004 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show has sold out, show organizers said yesterday in a press release.
The show, to be held Oct. 28 - Nov. 1, will cover six sites and feature more than $1.6 billion worth of boats, yachts, superyachts and accessories from marine manufacturers and boat builders worldwide. An estimated $600 million in sales resulted from the 2003 show, according to Yachting Promotions Inc., which produces the event.
“We’re anticipating a very active show based on initial key indicators,” said Kaye Pearson, president of Yachting Promotions, Inc. “The show being sold out with a waiting list, major South Florida hotels reporting all rooms filled or nearly filled and strong pre-show national and international credential requests are significant factors. We expect strong sales and attendance."
The show is owned and sponsored by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida.
