ACMA schedules its fall meeting

OAK PARK, Ill. – The Advisory Council of Marine Associations – a group that proposes recommendations and resolutions on industry issues to the Marine Retailers Association of America Board of Directors for consideration – has scheduled its fall meeting for Nov. 9 at the Stardust Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

The meeting is being held prior to the opening on Tuesday evening of MRAA’s annual convention. ACMA chairman, Chris Squeri, executive director of the New York Marine Trades Association, is urging all local, state and regional marine associations to attend.

“This meeting is open to all MTA executives and/or officers. It is a huge opportunity to share and get updates on important industry issues,” Squeri said. “It’s a ‘can’t miss’ type of meeting.”

Barry McCahill of McCahill Communications, a public media and government relations firm in Eagle, Idaho will be the luncheon speaker. McCahill, who is often called upon to share his expertise in public relations and dealing with the news media, is being sponsored by Soundings Trade Only.

Registration packets have been sent to all trade associations and include the agenda, biographies on speakers, and registration information. Those who haven’t received one should contact the MRAA office by phone at 708-763-2910; by fax at 708-763-9236; or by email mraa@mraa.com.
