Southern Marine to hold dealer show
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The first annual Southern Marine Dealer Show “Drivin Business 400″ will be held Oct. 18 – 20 at Talladega Super Speedway, featuring more than 70 accessory manufacturers that will be on hand to exhibit their products, the company said recently.
Southern Marine – a boating accessory/parts supply distributor with locations in Little Rock, Ark., Birmingham, Ala. and Charlotte, N.C. – will host the show in the infield area at the track, which is located approximately 35 miles east of Birmingham. A number of events are planned for attendees, including a concert and a barbeque.
Customers who buy a specified amount of product will also be able to get out on the track itself. Southern Marine will give them the opportunity to drive authentic stock cars on the famous speedway – site of NASCAR’s Talladega 500.
“The legendary Talladega Super Speedway is central to our distribution area and is a unique place to hold an event,” said Rick Willis, president of Southern Marine. “To drive a car that will reach 170 mph is a big thrill for a lot of people.”
There will also be exhibits on display by Triton Boat Co., Team Ward “War Eagle Boats” and Nautic Star among others.
