Yamaha Motor Canada terminates agreement with Lund Canada

TORONTO – Yamaha Motor Canada, Ltd. has notified Lund Canada it will terminate its O.E.M. relationship effective Aug. 31, Yamaha said in a release this morning.

Lund Canada was one of several aluminum boat companies sold by Genmar to Brunswick Corp. earlier this year. Relationships also ceased earlier this year between Yamaha Motor Canada and Crestliner and Lowe, the other companies that were sold.

“We decided to terminate our relationship with Lund after the company was sold to Brunswick,” said Rick Layzell Yamaha Canada’s National Sales manager for Marine. “We are confident that our customers understand the importance of premium quality and technology in the outboard motors they choose to sell. Our customers are moving very quickly to evaluate the many alternative boat brands available to them in the market place that feature Yamaha as a power of choice.”
