Southport signs New York dealership agreement

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Southport Boat Works recently said that Strong’s Marine will represent the line at its Mattituck, Flanders, and Southampton, N.Y., locations, according to a press release from the company.

Strong’s Marine will be Southport’s exclusive New York dealer over their three-year dealer agreement, beginning with the 2005 model year.

“We’re obviously thrilled to attract Strong’s Marine to the Southport brand,” said Frank Longino, managing partner. “Strong’s slogan, ‘The home of super service’, is a great fit with both our marketing strategy and the other Southport dealers.”

With the addition of Strong’s marine, Southport now has 17 dealership locations from New England to the Gulf Coast. The company said it expects its first model, a 26-foot center console, to be in full production in September. A 28-foot center console will enter production in November followed by a 28-foot cabin model in January, the company said.
