MarineMax wins several awards from Hatteras
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – MarineMax received three company-wide awards for excellence in sales and service at the recent Annual Hatteras International Sales Conference in New Bern, N.C., the boating retailer said in a statement recently.
The company won the 2004 “Sales Leadership Award” for its sales record, the “Gold Achievement Award” for outstanding overall performance and commitment to the Hatteras brand, and the “Customer Service Award” for excellence in service, based on customer reviews, according to the company.
Tom George, a MarineMax team member for 16 years, was also honored, winning the “Salesman of the Year Award.”
“MarineMax had an outstanding year for Hatteras,” said Bryant Phillips, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Hatteras. “Capturing the “Sales Leadership Award,” the “Gold Achievement Award” and the top CSI Award for customer service was appropriately capped by Tom George’s Salesman of the Year honor. It was their show and we’re very appreciative of their stellar performance on behalf of Hatteras.”
In addition to George’s award, several MarineMax sales associates were honored. “Circle of Excellence Awards” went to Chris Cunningham, Jack Curlett, Jim Connor, Pat Martin, Pete Woods, Peter Hopwood, Richard Hymes, Roger Hansen, Scott Roberton, Steve Bozas Wessinger, Tyra Morgan, and Walter Sea.
The “Distinguished Sales Achievement Award” was given to Chris Cunningham, Tom George, Peter Hopwood, Walter Sea, and Steve Bozas Wessinger, honoring their position as sales leaders within Hatteras dealerships and within the boating industry.
