Sea Fire gets Lloyd’s approval

BALTIMORE – Fire suppression equipment manufacturer Sea Fire Marine has received Lloyd’s Register Type Approval for its FM-200 H-Series, verifying the product’s conformity to national and international standards through an independent testing process, the company said in a recent release.

Developed for large craft, the H-Series custom-engineered fire suppression systems can be found on pleasure boats, superyachts, transport vessels, workboats and offshore platforms. The H-Series can be configured for spaces from 1,500 to 17,500 cubic feet.

It uses FM-200, a replacement for Halon that is safe for use in occupied spaces and environmentally responsible. The system reaches maximum concentration in less than 10 seconds, minimizing physical damage to equipment, according to the company. As a full-flooding clean agent, FM-200 leaves no mess or corrosive residue.
