Emeryville Marina completes renovation

EMERYVILLE, Calif. – San Francisco Bay’s Emeryville Marina has undergone an extensive renovation and improvement project designed to provide boaters more slips for larger vessels, improved access for boaters with disabilities and a variety of added marina amenities and upgrades.

Marinas International, the permitted operator of the Emeryville Marina, worked with the City of Emeryville, to complete the reconstruction project of the North Basin (Docks A, B, C and D) at the end of June, providing 126 slips ranging in size from 30-to-65 feet. A significant percentage of the slips are now in the 50-to-65-foot range, the company said in a recent press release.

“We invested in significant dredging to provide more slips for larger vessels and to improve the depth of the water to reassure our boaters that they can access the marina without having to check on the tides or without any worries of running aground,” said Gilbert Welch, vice president of operations for Marinas International.
