Strictly Sail Philadelphia takes shape

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – Strictly Sail Philadelphia is taking shape with a floor plan unlike that at any other boat show, show organizers said in Sail America’s July newsletter, released today.

All boats at the event will be arranged around the outside of the show for the most dramatic look and to give the show a boat-owners-rendezvous feel, according to the association. There will also be an all-new “Center Dock” – a new concept at an indoor show where boat builders can display their boats at a dock shared with other builders and dealers. This will allow more builders who might not normally be at an indoor event to display their boats.

Other features of the floor plan include:

– Diagonal alleys all pointing to the center of the show, aiming to the “Crossed-Sails Bar.”
– Extra open spaces in the main aisle to allow more visibility across the show floor and create a festive and easy to navigate layout.

“With seminars, parties, boats and a large number of sailing companies on display, Strictly Sail Philadelphia is certain to be the most complete event for sailors from up and down the East Coast,” the association said.
