MarineMax acquires Jacksonville distribution rights

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Recreational boat retailer MarineMax, Inc., has acquired the Sea Ray distribution rights from Port Jacksonville – a division of Mobro Marine, Inc. – allowing the company to represent the entire Sea Ray product line in the Jacksonville, Fla. region, according to a MarineMax press release today.

MarineMax acquired the assets of Port Jacksonville’s Sea Ray pleasure boat operations for an undisclosed purchase price. Previously, MarineMax held only the Sea Ray sport yacht and yacht distribution rights for the Jacksonville market representing products greater than 36 feet.

“We are very happy to be able to offer the full line of Sea Ray products in this important market,” said William H. McGill, chairman, president and CEO of MarineMax. “The Jacksonville area continues to see significant growth and is one of the faster growing boating markets in the country.”
