Stevens Instrument Co. restructures
WAUKEGAN, Ill. – The Stevens Instrument Co., a supplier of test equipment and tools to the marine service trade, has undergone an extensive restructuring, the company said in a recent release.
The Kordt family has acquired all shares of the company; Sharon Kordt has been elected to the office of president; Jon “Jack “ Kordt remains secretary/treasurer and general manager, a position he has held since 1971, and Tim Kordt, who joined the business in the spring of 2000, has been named business manager and director of operations.
“Although there will be no major changes in the purpose and direction of the company, the restructuring should enable management to respond more rapidly and effectively to changes in marine service requirements,” the company said.
