SEVERNA PARK, Md. – The National Marine Electronics Association now has nomination forms available for its Annual Product of the Year awards, to be presented at the NMEA Annual Convention Oct. 23 at The Registry Resort & Club in Naples, Fla., the association said in a recent press release.
NMEA manufacturing members are invited to nominate products in 25 categories, including autopilot (commercial and recreational), compass (electrical and gyro), electronic cartography (raster and vector), and GPS/DPGS navigators.
“The annual product award program is widely anticipated by marine electronic manufacturers and proves an excellent method for them to focus industry and consumer attention on their products,” said NMEA president Beth Kahr.
The nominations are judged by voting members of the NMEA, including Certified Marine Electronics Technicians dealers, and trade members. Ballots are also mailed to CMET technicians who are actively working in the marine electronics field. Nomination forms must be returned no later than July 15.
For more information about the awards program or to receive a nomination form, call the NMEA national office at (410) 975-9425 or visit www.nmea.org.
