Crestliner boat seats popular among troops in Iraq

LITTLE FALLS, Minn. – Boat manufacturer Crestliner has sent several of its Concept DX Fishing Chairs to U.S. troops serving in Iraq, who are mounting the swiveling seats in Humvees for use by gunners, the Associated Press reported in a recent story.

According to CPT Shaun M. Riffe (D-216th ADA), the rugged Crestliner chairs are perfect for the application.

“We love the Crestliner seats in our hummers. The military thinks that a sling seat is only answer, but my gunners will disagree,” Riffe said. “We have also used them to trade for hard-to-find items over here. Everyone wants one in their vehicle now, we’ve even had a couple stolen.”
