CCP Composites will raise prices
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Cook Composites and Polymers, a coatings manufacturer supplying the marine industry, will increase its pricing by $0.05 per pound for its gel coat and resin products, effective July 12, the company reported in a release Monday afternoon.
The increase will apply to all shipments made on or after that date. CCP said the changes are the result of several factors, including the dramatic rise in costs of raw materials and the increase of global demand, resulting in the subsequent tightening of availability.
Product components such as styrene monomer, methyl methacrylate monomer, propylene glycol, isophthalic acid, ethylene glycol, dicyclopentadiene, titanium dioxide, and maleic acid, have all been impacted by the diminished supply, CCP said.
Packaging costs, affected by significant increases in the cost of steel, have also increased, as have transportation costs, the company said.
“During this period of spiraling external costs, we have strongly directed our attention to every area of internal resources in order to accommodate our customers to the best of our ability,” Paul Colonna, vice president for CCP Composites said. “Our goal is to provide the best possible products and services to our valued customers at the best possible prices. We are committed to the long-term growth of the composites industry.”
