MRAA and Marine 1One to coordinate their events again

OAK PARK, Ill. – The Marine Retailers Association of America will hold its annual convention Nov. 7-11 at the Stardust Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, coordinating its event with the Marine 1One Dealer Show for the second time, MRAA said yesterday.

“Allowing dealers to spend two days at the Marine 1One Show and then jump right into the convention proved highly successful last year,” said MRAA chairman John Sima. “It was a cost savings and highly informative four days, and we had many requests to continue again for 2004.”

The Industry Leaders panels will return for continued discussion on topics essential to the growth of the boating industry, and the convention will also host a number of new speakers and programs, MRAA said.

Issues such as marketing dealerships, customer relations, the national economy and how it affects the boat business, quality control at the dealer level, and getting the most out of boat shows will be addressed.

Reports highlighting the progress to date of the task forces formed by the Grow Boating initiative will be given, and there will also be an Issues Forum, designed for the attendees to discuss and propose possible solutions and resolutions on issues like fair dealer agreements, warranty reimbursements, model year changes and technician recruitment, MRAA said.

Convention brochures with agendas and complete registration and hotel information will be available soon, according to MRAA.
