Yanmar offers new technical training program

ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. – Yanmar Marine International has implemented technical training sessions – coordinated worldwide by Greg Eck of Yanmar Marine USA Corp. – to educate distributors on its newly released 3YM30, 3JH4, 6SY and 8SY marine diesel engines, the company said yesterday in a release.

“Previously, Yanmar trainers worldwide worked independently to develop programs,” said Eck, Yanmar’s special projects manager. “In order to be more efficient and consistent, this new system was built cooperatively, and will better serve Yanmar marine distributors.”

Yanmar has held eight training sessions in Georgia, the Netherlands and Panama. The new procedure allows distributors to attend training in any desired location.

To arm distributors with information to host their own sales and service training, and prepare boat builder presentations, Yanmar has provided a CD containing the training PowerPoint presentations, CAD drawings of all new products, PDF files of manuals and high-resolution photos, according to the company.
